The interesting information <to me> that I gleaned from the Washington Times opinion piece was that the 'Morning After Pill' is essentially a doubled-up dose of regular birth control hormones... and is *not* RU486.

Apparently the morning after pill is effective for up to 72 hours after intercourse (before implantation of the blastocyte into the uterine lining)... and RU486 is used during the first trimester.

Did not know this. (Apparently because no federal money is being spent to inform the public of the differences, or availability of the products).

Also did not know that France and the UK, among others, make the morning after pill available over-the-counter... after a short explanation of it's use by the pharmacist.

Some argue that widespread availability of the morning after pill could dramatically reduce abortion numbers.
