Does any of this bother you? It should!

1) Fashions come and go. The cute new thing today will be a weird anachronism, maybe an eyesore, tomorrow. Whereas a boring beige box today will continue to be a boring beige box tomorrow.

2) No expandability. Most computer buyers realize that they may want to add something in the near future. Having no internal expansion options limits you to external (USB, Firewire) devices. This will turn off many buyers.

3) No matter what Apple says, their processors are far slower than those in Intel and AMD PCs. Apple of course picks the few Photoshop filters that their machines do well on when they compare. Most other real world benchmarks
(Including most other Photoshop filters) are much faster on the PC than on a Mac. In short, the Mac has a big speed disadvantage.

4) Few games. This is partly related to the speed disadvantage and partly to the smaller potential market on the Mac. Few homebuyers will buy a Mac because of this.

5) Business buyers? Why buy a Mac when most of the business world uses Windows? Stick with Windows and you have full compatibility with the rest of the world. I know Office is available on the Mac but most other business
Applications are not. Most businesses use at least a few other applications.

In short, I think the new models will attract a few buyers in the short term but will not turn Apple around financially in the long run.
