>However, there are reasons for the Palestinians' anger and their subsequent behavior as I pointed out in my last post. Some of the same points, I see, were also presented in someone else's post. If there is to be resolution to this Israeli/Palestinian discord, then these points must be addressed in some way to satisfy both sides. England did a lousy job of splitting up the region, and the world is paying the price 60 years later.

As I said, England didn't split it up. But, I'm listening- how did the UN do a lousy job of doing so?

To me the UN is synonymous with the US and England but I won't argue the point. Because it should have been all finished at one time. You have a portion that's Israel, a portion that's Jordan and a portion that's no man's land. I sure there were reasons but I think those reasons should have been resolved sixty years ago.

>Unfortunately, "knocking some sense" has grown to mean going on a fighting rampage where the death toll is high. Glad to see you were not thinking in those terms. ;~))

The Israelis have shown great, great restraint thus far. My feeling is, that if it's "Us or Them", I'd rather Them get killed than Us.

Do you really think the Israelis have a choice?
