David,

that was very good work. Now you see the problem when Unicom is discussed, be it in Chinese or English, you need to think about which Unicom is of pertinence.

You need to do some more homework. Do the same exercise for China Mobile. If you are really energetic, look at China Telecom. I am not trying to test you, I don't have the answer and would appreciate someone digging that stuff up.

The Chinese government is the entity that owns a big chunk of the two wireless companies, they own the spectrum, they own the right to name the technology .......

At the same time, they are responsible for the country's economy, employment, trade ........

No other entity in the world comes close to having that much influence over so many subs, vendors, carriers ....

So if you follow this basic line of reasoning, you will find that the clear choice of China is to make CDMA work. All you have to do is look at the alternatives. How would any of the other alternatives out there benefit China the way CDMA would?

Today was very entertaining. So many reporters from all medias were trying to cover this story except none really understand what they are reporting.

I only have one question. Did CHU say anything that we did not already know?
