I will dispute your incorrect data on photo silver use
and the causes in 1970's leading to gold rise
but tomorrow, when I can spare time at office
with a few links to read, if you wish to read them

anti-silver folks have used the same argument for five years
each year, photo silver use rises 4-5%
demand is far outstripping recovery recycling efforts
the only way photo silver drops off is if they find substitute to silver components in film and development
silver halide might get replaced eventually for film
but I think it will lead to poor results

digital photo is statistically insignificant in the silver growth sales series, according to stat analysis of data

finding silver substitutes for any and all of its myriad applications have proved to be a vexing and consistently unsuccessful endeavor over the ages
you should know that

did you know that 100% of China's silver imports are for photography?
did you know that the largest user of silver in the world is China?
they dont use digital photos
do you really think people will buy a $1000 PC, a $600 digital camera, and settle for shitty prints?

let's all sit around the PC and look at the photos from my trip to Australia

no way, Artful Dodger

instead of a throwaway camera for $10 and film for $7 and development for $8?
naive, man

I dont think you understand the conditions that led to gold's meteoric rise in 1980
any more than you do now
I have tried to explain how similar the conditions are
but it apparently isnt sinking in
but I will try again, because somebody else might get it

those conditions are repeating right now under your nose
it has to do with negative real interest rates
and imminent damage to creditors in the bond market
do you ever follow the bond market?

I do understand the value of genius product inventions
but that genius produces outstanding products, whose companies often are trumped by macroeconomic conditions
conditions that are marred by irresponsible govt leadership
like now

I believe you will be swimming against a large tide soon
a tide that moves beautiful ships and junk yachts alike
with little discrimination
when was the last sea change you spotted beforehand?
