Well, that's fine as long as the elk is not an endangered species. When a member of the animal kingdom does become endangered, it's more important to protect it than to allow killing for sport.

The Elk is a magnificent animal. Saw my first one in person about 2 yrs ago....never realized they were so large.

Have you heard about the recent donnybrook in England over fox-hunting? The Lords(of leisure) are not willing to give up their sport?(I think not). Imagine grown men chasing one frightened little red fox along with their huge hounds......pitiful.

Have you ever heard of a pigeon shoot?
