Hi, Wolf - "Don't straddle the bet. Don't risk the bet with margin at this time." Wise words. Ignored by some that I know, unfortunately. I hope they don't get called. One tactic that I have seen played on low volume stocks is an attempt to knock out the stops, and accumulate a bigger position. Joe's detective work seems to preclude that tactic here.
