These are the refugees, and all of their descendents, from the unsuccessful war the Arabs launched, to strangle Israel in its cradle in 1948.

I wonder if even David Warren would claim that events such as those at Deir Yassin (4/10/48, well before the Arab attack) had nothing to do with the flight of the refugees.

One of the greatest obstacles to understanding this mess is the bizarre and tenacious insistence by partisans of both sides that it is all the other group's fault, and that their side has clean hands.
