A REPORT on Digitimes said that Intel will slash and burn prices of its recently introduced Pentium 4M mobile processors with the delta between those and the desktop processors dropping to as little as $90.

Well it certainly looks like a price war in mobiles. Seems like it has to hurt Intel far more than AMD. AMD probably has just less than 10% of the mobile market. Hard to believe Intel dropped prices to take back share. I'd guess AMD is aggressively going after additional mobile share.
Even if they get only a few percentage xtra mobile share, it should make up for whatever decrease in prices it took to get it. Mean while, Intel likely loses a little share but loses big time in mobile ASP. Sounds like Intel will defend mobile share at any cost at least until Banais.
