CIMA, good post. I pretty much agree with your analysis. My fear is that these companies invested so much that they will refuse to close shop. I'm afraid someone will be willing to buy Level3 or Global Crossing's assets and continue to run them. Obviously, CWP is in the great position of having little to no debt and tons of cash, but does CWP and Level3/GC really compete?

Have you looked at Level3? They claim to have the cheapest network. I read something that said the real value at Level3 is the rights of passage and other passage ways other carriers would not get permission to build a network.
