War still a possibility: Fernandes
Extract:
NEW DELHI, March 27: Indian Defence Minister George Fernandes on Wednesday refused to rule out the possibility of war with Pakistan and dismissed the prospect of pulling back troops from combat positions on the border.
Fernandes also said he was worried that Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters hiding in "safe havens in Pakistan" might try to cross into occupied Kashmir. "There is enough evidence that Al Qaeda andTaliban fighters have found shelter in Pakistan. One need have no doubt that there could be incursions into Indian territory by these elements," said Fernandes.
"One has to take this factor into consideration. The threat to our security is very real. This is an issue on which there can be no compromise," he added.-AFP

JPR's note:
As long as Americans are stationed in the cursed land of punkistan, there will be no war. But in the event that some unforeseen set of circumstances present themselves, India with the implicit collusion of other powerful countries will destablize punkistan by all means to render it harmless in South Asia. China is the wild card here: How they react is anybody's guess. The Al Qaeda and the Taliban are lying low in punkistan; they sometime or other have to come out of their camouflage and perform their evil deeds that come so natural to them. If the programmed lethal robots don't destabilize punkistan, their next target will be Kashmir, India, and the world including the West. How long could they control their lethal habits? Not for long. The paki Govt. has no control over them, who along with the wild Northwest residents living in moonscape will be itching to fight someone someday somewhere.
