Broadband in German private households

ADSL is booming

Eschborn - In Germany the number of broadband connections nearly trebled in one single year. According to NetValue, in January 2001 only 4.6 % of the private households were among the fast Internet surfers, while in January 2002 this number rose 12% - tendency rising according to the market research firm. The main winner was ADSL (Asymmetric digitally Subscriber line) with a rise from 2% to 8,8 %. On the other hand the number of the Internet users using ISDN (*) went from 35,9 down to 32,6%. (wo)
