"England owned that land"???? The Mandate did not give England or France ownership of that land, but simply gave them administrative power! England simply did not have a legal right to give Palestinian land to Jews! The activity was illegal under international law. Many of the early Zionist purchased their land but that only accounted for some 3% of Palestine.
