3/28 8:26am: In Play: Patterson-UTI upped at BofA (PTEN) 28.39: Banc of America upgrades to STRONG BUY from Buy; firm expects US drilling to bottom in Q2, which provides the inflection point for a 2+/- year recovery in activity. PTEN is top small cap pick, as co is highly levered to an increase in domestic drilling activity, is debt-free, and in the previous two upcycles the stock had higher returns than any other oilfield service co. Price target is $45.
