American lumber mills like their steel mills can't compete because they have not spent to keep up with modernisation that has occured elsewhere in the world. I for one am not buying American wine anywhere in Canada. If I visit the US I suppose I'll have to buy some if i want wine. Trade protection to protect inefficient buggy whip manufacturers is a lose lose situation.
