Charles: Somebody explained the MMX thing a ways back. It's some
kind of a multi-media chip that has the sound and video embedded
with the cpu. Intel developed the technology and they licensed it
to AMD but I haven't heard anything about AMD's plans for it. If
you've been holding Pepsi for more than a year, you sure don't need
to worry about your AMD stake...if that pays off it'll be gravy. I
was going to buy Pepsi two years ago and bought Philip Morris instead
but that paid off okay. So if AMD pays off it'll be gravy on the MO.
That trend line is probably telling you the truth; I'm planning on
hanging on to AMD for now but I sure wouldn't add to it even though
the stock is down so much. The worst thing about some of these stocks
is that they don't get the information out to the investors so a lot
of what we think about the companies is just guessing. This crap
about something in the works just doesn't cut it: if something's in
the works, how about them giving us a time frame and what it is and
how profitable is it supposed to be. Stuff like that lame story about
getting stuck with 300,000 cpu's is pretty lame...makes you wonder
who's minding the store over there. Like I said, Charles, I think
your trend line is telling you the truth.
