>Z, I think he's a loose cannon and shoots from the hip. On top of that, he is angry. I worry when there is that kind of combination. It can be worse than the actions of a tyrant. Nonetheless, the Israelis think that's what they need right now.

Point 1 is correct. Point 2 is also correct, but who wouldn't be angry in his situation?

Z, unfortunately he doesn't have the luxury of being angry. He's the prime minister......not a kid on the street. And he knows that but doesn't care.

>I've looked it over briefly.....to me,the two sticklers are the "fair solution" and vacating Gaza and the West Bank....only the second one do I see as a deal breaker. I imagine the first one is a throwaway put in by the Arabs expressly for that purpose.

As far as Gaza goes, it's gone, and Israel doesn't want it. The West Bank is a bit more tricky, because there are parts of it that if given away would make Israel extraordinarily vulnerable to attacks from the East.

Actually, I meant the Golan Hts....not Gaza. I don't think the Israelis will give back the G. Heights........at least not easily.

>Why do you see it as the end of Israel?

Israel's a democracy. If there were more Arab citizens than Jewish citizens, it'd no longer be a Jewish state. That's exactly what the Arabs are going for.

There is no way the Israelis will agree to open their borders and to returning land to the Palestinians. However, I don't think its a deal breaker from the Arab's point of view. I think the Saudis put it in there in order to get something else in return when its thrown out. FWIW.
