Palestinians never lived in the Golan Heights. It was given by the British to the French in the '20s (I think that's the date), and then by the French to the Syrians after WWII. Syrians would always fire on Jewish civilians from the Heights. Israel took that land and annexed it. It's officially part of Israel, unlike the West Bank and Gaza. It has nothing to do with the Palestinians.

It was put out in the late '60s-early '70s as a means to destroy Israel. I can give you some quotes about this tonight if you'd like. I'm reading a book which covers the topic. You should check it out. From Time Immemorial- by Joan Peters.

The right of return is entirely a deal-breaker. For one, it was the reason Arafat walked out of Camp David in 2000. Second, the Arabs have made it clear that there will be no compromise on this deal.
