Sorry, George. A number of editorial writers from Texas newspapers also opined same. (I even posted one of the analyses a few days ago.) The Texas right-wing bubbas sent the Hispanic judge packing, even though he (the incumbent Hispanic judge) was endorsed by virtually every major GOP official in the Lone Star State, as well as by President Bush. The bottom line to Hispanic voters in Texas is this: Welcome to the Republican Party (just don't plan to run for office ... it's reserved for good ol' boys only, thank you.)
