Nope, the numbers AMD uses are a good indicator of general performance relative to other chips on the market - which is as good as it gets for one number indicators. AMD's model numbers are a much, much, more accurate indicator of performance than flacid P4 mhz.

Tell me something, Wanna_bmw, do you think that a BMW's engine should be compared to engines in other cars by displacement (mhz) or horsepower (AMD model numbers)?

Do you think it would be honest for General motors to pay a car magazine to put out a strongly editorial article condeming BMW for rating their car's engines by their horsepower when competing Ford and Chevy sedans have larger displacement engines?
