John Kerry should and probably will be the next president.
Right now it's way too early to worry about too much and I do support whomever our president is in terms of stamping out terrorism (Bush is being pretty good about that), but now that we're all vigilant on a non-partisan basis, as a moderate who cares about the environment I'd say four years of Bush will be enough.

John Kerry is the only democrat I think who can beat Bush so long as he has a southern running mate like Edwards. Kerry's integrity is unquestionable, he has great intellect, guts, money, moderate values, is a ferocious debater, stands 6'4", craggily handsome and is a Bronze and Silver Star winner in Vietnam with four Purple Hearts unlike the current "hawks" in now who all avoided the war. So Kerry can be tough but more important in the long run is world peace and getting along with our allies. They're not even supporting us against Iraq now which shows how little trust they have in Bush beneath the surface.

Also, the energy papers scandal with Enron and others dictating energy and environmmental policy would be the biggest scandal since Watergate if not for 9/11. It's really disgusting. Impeachable really. The entire energy "crisis" was a phony deliberate gouging of consumers and theft of money and power. It was the worst such debacle since the S+L lootings and was orchestrated by Bush's energy cronies. Bush cannot distnce himself from Enron. They were joined at the hip.

I will say one thing for Bush though. He's defending us now and he is a very clever politician who turns out to have a heart and a brain after all. But he is still not the best man for the job and everyone knows it. Cheney meanwhile is just cold, arrogant and dishonest. No wonder he won't give us his energy papers. He's guilty.
