Actually, I believe the number of split adjusted Sun shares outstanding has held steady or decreased somewhat over the last few years. The following numbers for the past five years are from Value Line (dated April 25, 1997. This may not be the current edition, because I read it at the library, and I don't go very often): Sunw Year : Common shares outstanding (millions) 1992 : 400.01 1993 : 408.45 1994 : 375.41 1995 : 394.06 1996 : 371.96 current : 368.08 I suggest you compare this with other well known tech stocks.
