Ten re: Sure, Albert. On AMD's web page, they compare the Athlon XP 2100 to a Pentium 4, NOT another Athlon XP. Amd model numbers is how they label their chips. Once the labeling is over it is only natural to compare your product with competition. Even if model numbers would be derived, and they are not, from p4 benchmarking p4 benchmarks are in public domain and as such can be used by amd. re: So Intel paid Aberdeen for the report. I'll bet Aberdeen has at least as much integrity as Arthur Andersen. You are trying to be sarcastic here but the irony is that it is not about Aberdeen's integrity but rather about Intel's. Aberdeen did the job as they were contracted to do, pretty much the same way as AA. The difference is that AMD made no secret of their business relationship with AA while Aberdeen's paper were supposed to look like it was not connected to Intel. Big difference here........ You might also take a look at Message 17259391 which should not make you feel any prouder about Intel either Regards -Albert
