I think that to the untrained western eye the President’s middle east policy appears incoherent. I’m seeing greatness among the President’s actions, and those of his people. Some masterful subtlety in many of his plans, foreign and domestic, that is going unnoticed.

The Saudi’s are indeed demonstrating a wisdom and clarity of thought that is a characteristic of the desert people IMO. Hopefully they will continue their wise ways and seize the opportunity to show good faith, and help remove the weak and unworthy Chairman Arafat. Israelis must be safe in their homes, and they must have someone consistent to negotiate with.

The Saudi's have seen the opportunity and the selection of Beirut for the summit was no accident. It should serve as a clue to all observers.
