Update: The new Spectrum/Microprose product "XCom: Apocalypse" will ship in ten days (apparently, Jul 18th). One of the early positive indicators for this title is the creative art and animation shots I have seen. In many cases, quality art tends to point to quality product...and in turn, strong sales. We'll see... The other thing Spectrum really has going for it of late is the dramatic price drop in PC multimedia hardware. This could catalyze sales of the Spectrum/Microprose software titles, since these tend to demand higher-end hardware to support advanced graphics and artificial intelligence. Christmas could look a lot better. Dan
