Hi Andy: - NEED HELP (AT WITS END)
MACD / HISTOGRAM / EMA 2 MOVAVG'S ?
I have read a lot of your work on writing formulas in QUOTES PLUS
and I could use a little help please, if you could spare the time. This will more than likely be a piece of cake for you.

Thank You for your time

Here goes I would like to write a scan to control the HISTOGRAM
in the MACD filter. The default setting for the MACD is (12-26-9)
I have been using (12-26-50) because it gives a greater definition
of the CROSSOVER of the HISTOGRAM from the bottom to the top
of the center line.

The number can be change if need be, what ever it takes to make it work.

It would be nice to be able to write a scan to pick out stocks with he histogram below the center line going up and crossing over today (on the purple line). Also be able to vary the crossover from 5 days ago, or 10 days ago. etc.

I have been a QUOTES PLUS user for about 10 months now and I think this program is great. I also still have TC2000 going but I only use it for my mutual funds,

I have 6 other friends that use QUOTES PLUS and none of them write scans. A couple do use canslim or run 1 or 2 scans, that came with the program. 2 of them are day traders, and don't have time or the inclination to write a scan, an the other 4 are more or less long term. At the present time I am a weekly trader most of the time.
I plan on being more active in the future.

I think there is a lot of up side to this histogram scan if we can get it working, if the histogram continues to go up the stock always follows. I have been doing it the hard way paging down the nasdaq list one stock at a time. Any help would be appreciate. Thanks again

humble Jim
