Correction on a slight misunderstanding :
The root of the problem is not that the Muslims want/need to convert us into believing in Allah The Merciful, or that Allah is not merciful.
The problem is that there is no Allah, and that is what these people are becoming scared of. Now, if we do join in, they will find that extra confidence they are looking for by converting us, or killing us. PLease notice that they do give us the final choice, a proof for them that we are free Men...

Now if there were a allah, the Mighty One, he would have had all the Jews slaughtered long ago.

That's what they need to know if we hope them to calm down, some day.
Not in our lifetime, however.
