<<The high tech Dutch tulip suckers will be paralyzed and dejected, pathetic in their abject, ignorant ruin. Many will die. >>
Nope, sorry, don't buy it. I'm the first to tell you tech has a place(and a large one) in the economy of today & tomorrow. Tech, though, is not & never should have been the whole of the economy. Remember when a bucket of net companies(only one of them even had a bottom in the black) had a market cap. value greater than GM+ Ford + Chrysler + Toyota + Honda + ...? I posted several of those comparisions right here.
I refuse to play the same game of the analysts who could only run up worthless techs upon the backs of dying starving miners. You see how gold is now moving up? It has regained(a portion of) it's prior non-manipulated position in the world's portfolios - that of an insurance., & that of a thing of beauty.
During the tech tulip mania I heard on a local radio show an investment advisor saying men should give their new wife to be 100 shares of the breaking IPO of the day)Dr. Koop.com if I remember correctly) INSTEAD of an engagement ring. Some of these golden debts are also coming due.
No, I don't believe people should take a 2nd mortgage on their homes & buy bullion, I know you can't live in bullion, but these were the instructions of investment advisors concerning the techs during the mania.
No, I'm not now, was never, & hope to never be in any way involved in any way in investments other than my own. |
