Iqbal... For what it's worth, I applaud any and all efforts by the Paskistani people to rid themselves of the extremist menace which threatens to drag the entire region into conflict.

I have to admit when the recent gallup poll came out that stated 95% of Pakistanis were against ridding Afghanistan of the Taliban, I was rather concerned about whether the nation was "salvageable" and whether Musharraf could survive.

Comments from Pakistanis like yourself give myself, and any American who reads them, hope that Pakistanis truly realize this is a battle of culture.. A civil war between modernist and regressionist beliefs, each trying to create a vastly different future for the muslim world.

The best of luck in winning this battle against ideological extremism.
