Well, I just did. It's one of those that you just throw together. Sometimes I have to use ground lamb if the stores don't have "real" lamb, and I boil a few potatoes, use canned apricots and peas (which however, MUST be those teeny LeSeur (sp?) peas). I use beef broth and season just with the onion and garlic and a little rosemary, salt and pepper. Frozen pie crusts.
This was one of those easy workday meals with everything all in one. I wonder what would happen to it in the hands of someone like you who would do her own pastry, use better ingredients. I bet it would be incredible. I bet the boys wouldn't eat it.
"What's THIS? Lamb-apricot pie? No way. Show us the cans."
They do this with real macaroni and cheese, too-
"Why isn't it orange? You forgot the cheese!"
