Good morning to my favorite artist,

I'm sure you and Gabe will work wonders in the the clay space today. Good luck with the firing.

An outdoor chess set sounds so great! I guess the wood you mention would be like one would use for a deck. It should be able to withstand the elements fine. I can imagine how much fun it would be to make those chess pieces!!!!!!!

The only other idea I had is local granite in different colors. Austin is the Texas state capital. Almost all our state office buildings are covered in local granite from Texas. They are beautiful... many would say they look a pale pink from a distance. I believe the name of the chosen granite is "Indian Sunset." My brother made me a beautiful coffee table with a dark rusty brown granite top. The granite was a scrap left over from a construction site he worked on.
