Oh, I guess you mean the original issue before we went off on a tangent. Voting only for taxpayers...

I see some good in it. There seems to be something wrong when a huge chunk of the people pay no net income tax (either they pay no income tax at all or they get it all back in refundable tax credits for things like EITC) deciding where all of the taxpayers money goes. (The poorest half of the population pays something like 4% of the income tax bill.) But the spending isn't the only thing that politicians decide. They pass laws, and empower bureaucracies that create regulations that effect everyone. I don't think we should say some citizens don't get a say in those decisions so I would be against giving the vote only to taxpayers.
