Hmmm....I was hoping that they might be able to resume buildouts sooner than June '03. I guess the best-case scenario we can hope for is that Leap performs well enough to be able to open up a bank credit line. I have no idea how likely that would be....anybody care to comment?

I think if the business model is on track, and maybe ahead of schedule after the next couple of quarters, LEAP will be acquired by a major player with deep pockets. I think this scenario was a major component in pcstels interest in LEAP. It looks like Harvey's managed to hit the "sweet spot" with his approach to wireless, and someone with the cash to grow it will step up and acquire what may well prove to be a cash machine.

I do wonder about that Nextwave situation. What happens when that is resolved, particularly if Supremes side with FCC. LEAP certainly hasn't the resources to exploit that bandwidth - nor even to pay for the spectrum they've won.
