You are absolutely correct, however the liquor stores in Canada still sell American wine. If I can persuade a few people to avoid it it is one small step against American robber baron business interests. I've avoided it for years ever since the Americans protested Durum wheat sales into the US from Canada and even live cattle one year. The US businesses are full of cry babies who want protection so they can screw more profit out of consumers and they seem to be full of crooked management and crooked or incompetent auditors who are allowed to cook the books and dupe many investors. Yes we have some in Canada, Brex and YBM Magnets come to mind, but their scale is an order of magnitude greater in the US.
