>Why is that a valid point? The Israelis hold all the cards, and yet he had to prove he can visit that site whenever he wants. How old is Sharon......55 going on 16?

Huh? The Arabs attack Jews if they go there... I wouldn't say that the Israelis hold all of the cars there.

Z, down below you say the Israelis are much stronger.....that being the case, Sharon should be able to visit that holy site in E. Jerusalem whenever he wants. I guess I see his motivation to be more along the lines of starting trouble than proving a point.

Oh, and he's 72.

My point was sometimes his behavior is more fitting of a boy of 16 than a man of 55 or 72.

Of course, I don't claim to know where this is going.

Of course not and neither do I.......and that's what makes it unnerving. Each side keeps upping the ante like two children, and I think that someone.....the US, Britain, or the UN.......will step in and stop it when it goes too far. But I don't think that will happen.

BTW did you know that Jerusalem is now the largest city in Israel? I guess it overtook Tel Aviv sometime in the 90's.
