A major component of AMD's future plans, this will have a materially devastating impact on AMD's future plans and profitability Sledgehammer for AMD is like "other" for Intel. If it works out, great, if not, there's nothing yet there to lose. Sledgehammer is less of a "major component" of AMD's future plans than "other" is critical for Intel's future plans. If "other" doesn't do well for Intel next year, will Intel go belly up?
