Alex the Transhuman Extropian I'm with you, Alex. The radiative adaptation of humanity and our favored species is the ultimate technical solution to many of our current limitations. Fortunately, we live in the world hotbed of Extropians and Transhumans. And at our age, we have about fifty years for technology to catch up with our aging and reverse it. If we get that far, then why not go ahead and survive the next several hundred years...adapting as we go? The ultimate generation gap will be between the generation that dies, and the generation that doesn't. I'm guessing that in the next twenty years we will learn enough about development and aging to vastly improve the capabilities of our children, and to stop aging processes - maybe even reverse them. Of course there will be some bugs to work out, and some people who will feel that modifying our selves is blasphemy...but they will be forgotten in another generation. Actually, Alex, I met some head-freezers this past weekend. I should introduce you... -zm
