Ben try right clicking on the network neighborhood icon on your desktop and choose properties.

Under Primary Network Logon make sure it says Windows Logon instead of Client for Microsoft Network.

I think I had that same problem once and after saving that setting I never got the logon screen again.

It's a pain because it stops your windows start until you click cancel. Makes you sit there until the computer boots instead of getting yourself a cup of coffee in the morning.. :)
