Yes Tim, the list is long. FWIW, I have clearly & frequently posted my sincere disdain for Lay, Skilling, AA, Et Al. Perhaps they are all Republicans. I do not know for sure what their political persuasion might be. It made no difference to me. Wrong is wrong. I spoke out loudly & clearly about it. I do not doubt that the morals & ethics of a large number of Americans, both liberal & conservative, have been worsening for some time now.
Funny thing though. My repeated comments denouncing these Enron/AA scumbags received no attacks/rebuttals from the right (actually most of them agreed with me) & they were generally ignored from the left.......... However I'm mocked, attacked & labeled all manner of terrible things by those on the left when I speak out about anyone or anything regarding democrats. Go figure.
In any event, I'm not sure what your point was in regard to my posts yesterday. Lay, Skilling Et Al, are not representative of the republican party in general nor do they represent the actions of current republican political leaders........ And since I was speaking about democratic leadership & liberal liberals in my posts, I'm not sure what your point is.
BTW, there are probably almost as many greedy, scumbag democratic corporate officials as there are republican........ greed & corruption is not confined solely to republicans........ However, it seems that some folks seem inclined to label all greedy corporate scumbags as republicans without knowing or caring about the facts.
I don't see any reason to deride Bush, the republican leadership nor the republican party in general at this time. I'm not going to deitize them either. Contrary to popular misperception,I have a general disdain for most politicians as most have proven themselves time & again to have earned such disdain.
However, I don't see Bush & the republican leadership's actions, words & deeds teaching Americans or their republican following that dishonesty, obfuscation, deceit, hypocrisy, manipulation, & the politics of personal destruction are SOP. I don't see them giving rights to criminals while striping them from their victims. I don't see republicans allowing everyone to blame their own misdeeds on anyone or anything but themselves, etc., etc. I have seen Clinton & all too many democratic leaders take these actions to an extreme, so I have no problems speaking out about it.
Spin it any way you wish, but that is what I have personally observed for more than a decade now. Oh BTW, it's also not about rearranging my prejudices......... I simply continue to observe........... and sadly it seems to be polarizing folks on both sides of these issues rather than folks working together to resolve their differences.
