The ECRI Weekly Leading Index (WLI) continued its upward trend this week, rising to 122.7 from 122.2 the previous week. The WLI’s six-month growth rate, which is a good indicator of the index’s trajectory, increased to 4.6%, its highest rate since early-2000. Recent trends in the WLI are signaling that recovery is well underway, and that economic expansion should continue in earnest over the next several months.
