Ann: Keep speaking out for the equality and dignity of women, past, present and future. That's a topic that many males on your side of the aisle would like to sweep under the carpet ... er, have their wives sweep under the carpet, since cleaning the house is beneath them.

I can say with certainty that if Harriet Beecher Stowe were alive today, she wouldn't vote Republican. Agree?
