I get so tired of hearing Edwarda's name kicked around SI in a negative and false fashion, with this innuendo and that hint, a wild unfounded guess, an outright lie - purporting to know things about her they had no clue to
it's unfair - she is not here to defend herself - to repudiate any of it - and she would have, no one pushed her around and got away with it
she died young, unexpectedly, quickly, tragically
the SI community was stunned, people who cared about her were in mourning
want to know what she was like?
she was fun, caring, sassy, spirited, smart, helpful, honest, gentle, yet had steel in her
yes, she had her flaws just like the rest of us and would be the first one to admit it
she was only too human - I think that's why she appealed to so many people, why so many liked her
I don't suppose bandying her name about SI will ever stop, but damnit, once in a while people who didn't know her should be able to get a clear picture of what she was really like - she was endearing |
