Actually, Milosevic's best shot so far is his trial itself! I mean, goddammit, the whole trial is turning into a bathetic circus! And d'you know why? Because Mr Milosevic stands ALONE in the dock... without other, as-guilty Serbian officials (Karadzic, Mladic, etc) So, the Milosevic trial has become a TV show where Milosevic himself challenges the prosecutor's witnesses --since he declined to be assisted by a lawyer (although Milosevic did hire France's law celebrity Maitre Jacques Verges among others).
So, to grasp the whole trial circus, imagine the 1945-46 Nuremberg trial with only ONE defendant: Mr A. Hitler, brazenly defending himself against "Anglo-Saxon conspirators"... Get the picture? |
