Thanks for posting the thread about granite. I really enjoyed looking around all over that site. I am a self-confessed rock-krazy and live in Granite Country. We have all kinds of it up here ranging from greys and mostly blacks through to pinks, orange-pinks and bright-rusty reds..as well as all combinations. I often stop at road cuts in the more rugged areas to the northwest of here and pick up a couple of stray chunks of granite if I see something neat. The gardens here are gradually being filled with strategically placed pieces from my wanderings.. Anyhow, thanks for posting that info.
