The recent Arab summit of 22 leaders was notable for the fact that none had been elected in a free and fair election. Freedom on speech in these countries is limited to bashing Israel and the United States. Arab reporters, for this reason and others (but mainly their health and freedom) are nearly unanimous in denying Israel or its leaders an interview. They would however interview Bin Laden, an act which pretty well sums up the polarization of information.

Can we wait for a middle class in the Arab world to develop and bring pluralism to their countries? That's a big important question.
