JS: I hope the judge can see how the courts are being used by every two bit company in the world to gain leverage vs. MSFT. First NOVL pulls this crap and now PALM. WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Microsoft (MSFT,Trade) was close to sharing a key programming tool after learning that Palm (PALM,Trade) was participating in the antitrust case against the software giant, an executive from the No. 1 handheld computer maker told federal court Thursday. Palm executive Michael Mace told U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly the software giant had refused Palm access to the software development tool called VSIP and had set one-sided conditions for allowing Palm handhelds to work with Microsoft's .NET Internet software.

What did they expect MSFT to do at the bargaining table say" Oh what can we give away to PALM today?"

I wonder if they see themselves as cos. that cannot compete without the courts threat of a decision giving them leverage. It really is pathetic. And the joke is they openly admit it. JFD
