Israel is intensifying its assault on Palestinian areas in the West Bank after trapping Yasser Arafat inside I'm mystified as to the usefullness of this tactic as it appears to be ludicrous on the surface. It seems to achieve nothing. Arafat was entertaining world leaders and media on the phone during the attack, at another moment ( while boxed in) suicide bombers stepped up their routine. If we can believe that the PLO could murder a 12 year old boy for good press then the decision to martyr Arafat ( without his permission ) seems entirely plausible. With Israel in the "next room", wouldn't that be the mother of all "accelerators". C
