Problem with that is that we have long-standing relationships with customers in the US, many a deal made with them already, left open as to delivery size and date and price etc .... other problems as well, of course the size of that tariff will act as a wall to many, they'd go broke paying it, so flow will be greatly reduced ... in Solon's post the second to last paragraph addressed the fact that different woods are used for different purposes, few are aware of this fact that the term lumber includes distinct categories .... weeks ago i had a great page that detailed uses for various woods, can't find it now though, looked for it half an hour on google yesterday ..... Laz also made great points which i'd like to address on FOs vs cuddlies, soon, real life intrudes too much this afternoon .... generally i believe that the only solution to the problem is that the US public wakes up to what a small group of greedy bastards is doing to the rest of them and to the most steadfast alliance possible between two nations ..... later, cheers
