Proofs of the existence of God have always been of a different kind-a crucial
point to be understood by those scientists who will only accept results that can

If you can't get there by scientific method, it's not science.

To the modern mind they seem contrived. Nevertheless, they were sufficient for Pascal to finally approach his certainty in God's existence by preparing his mind for God's necessity, if the world is to make ultimate sense.
Pascal engaged in rhetoric, not science. He had already decided what the answer should be, then found a way he considered satisfactory to get it.

But neither is science concerned with the ultimate spiritual properties of the world, which are also real.
Prove it.

But science can answer only a fixed type of question.
That may be. And those questions are scientific questions. And religion is belief in non-scientific matters.
Proof that God does not exist is beyond science. But equally beyond is proof that God does exist. Simple consideration of Clarke's Law shows that:
Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

Corollary: If you can tell the difference, the technology is not advanced enough.

So if a burning bush appears before you, speaks to you, and turns your wife to a pillar of salt, is it God or space aliens?
