There is no conceivable series of military actions (including nuclear strikes) that will terminate this externally funded and externally driven hostility towards Israel.

Do you have any evidence for this assertion? You speak as if every conceivable series of military actions had already been tried, and failed.

In fact, Israel has been extremely restrained, or handcuffed (take your pick), in the use of force, with the US quick to say, 'mustn't actually kill Arafat or drive out your enemies; Arafat remains central to the process'.

So military force has not been tried -- yet. Some situations are not solvable by political negotiation until after a war.
